The Hopes, Dreams and Smiles Fund provides children from North Dakota and Minnesota who have a life threatening illness or disability, the opportunity to enjoy a special event or other activity that will have a positive impact on their lives. These activities include, among others, the country music event known as Kick’n Up Kountry. This year with the support of the community and individual and business donations and by the generous donation from Bemidji Sports donating a Yamaha Grizzly 700 four-wheeler and the generous donation from Mattracks of a one of a kind tracks put on the four-wheeler, the Karlstad Eagles graciously sponsored a raffle for the four-wheeler. This raffle brought in over $17,000.00 for Hopes, Dreams and Smiles. This money brought six children and their families to Kick’n Up Kountry this year. The winner of the four-wheeler was ETHAN and KARL KRINGLEN of East Grand Forks, Minnesota. The generosity and caring of all individuals and businesses to help bring children with life threatening illnesses to Kick’n Up Kountry is so very much appreciated by Hopes, Dreams and Smiles and also very much appreciated by the children that you have brought these smiles to.
