Dear Kick’n Up Kountry Music Fans,
This is my 2nd year that
I’ve had the privilege of working with KUK staff and all of you
Minnesota country music fans. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone
again this year. I sincerely hope that you like this year’s line-up.
We’re in for a GREAT SHOW!
We also have a very BIG
surprise already confirmed for 2009’s festival. All I will tell you is
we’re in for an incredibly HUGE show
with one of country music’s all time icons. This festival is going to
get BIGGER and BETTER every year.

Yamaha ATV 700 Grizzly GIVEAWAY!!
2008 Yamaha ATV 700 Grizzly, equipped with ONE OF A
KIND custom made Litefoot Track system will be given away at the Kick'n
Up Kountry Music Festival on Sunday evening, August 31, 2008, at 9 p.m.
Tickets are available at Mattracks and the Karlstad Eagles club, Karlstad,
MN. (Karlstad Eagles License #is AO1585). Tickets
will also be available at fairs and parades around the Northwest MN area.
The money raised will go to the HOPES, DREAMS,&
SMILES FUND to help make it possible for more children with a
life threatening illness to attend KUK 2008!!
The ATV was donated by the Bemidji Sports Centre. The
track system was donated by Mattracks!

Top
recording artists in country music will be appearing at the 2008 Kick N'
Up Kountry Music Festival. Jeff Bates will headline Friday, August 29th.
Lorrie Morgan will be onstage Saturday afternoon. Joe Nichols will close
the curtain on August 30th. Ronnie Milsap and Neal McCoy will bring down
the house on August 31st. Other great performances will include the
Mustang Sally Band, the Jay Taylor Band from Nashville, Sarah Johns,
Bucky Covington, Gwen Sebastian (a Nashville gal born and raised in
neighboring rural North Dakota), Jason Jones, the Wayne Renn Band, and
more. This is sure to be one of the greatest shows ever!
The roving "Mayberry Cops Comedy Act" will be
thrilling the crowds all three days and
Ted Curfman with his covered wagon and Mules, George and Gracie,
will be thrilling fans with Free Shuttle

LORRIE MORGAN WILL BE ON OUR KUK STAGE!!!
Lorrie is one of country music’s most popular and successful female
artists charting over a dozen top ten hits including "Five Minutes," "What
Part of No," and "I Didn’t Know My Own Strength" which all landed at number
one. Recognized as a creative force in music videos, Lorrie charted eight
number one videos at CMT. Praise from her peers and fans followed, and
Morgan earned nine industry awards including four wins as Female Vocalist of
the Year (1994, 1996, 1997, 1998). She made countless appearances on major
network television shows including The Late Show with David Letterman, The
Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Good Morning America, among others.
Morgan’s authenticity as a country artist is
irrefutable. She was literally a child of the Grand Ole Opry, tagging along
as her father, the late George Morgan, performed every weekend from the
hallowed wooden stage. Lorrie made her debut appearance at 13. Because
of her dedication to the Grand Ole Opry Morgan was invited to become a
member in 1984
