The Shriners will be a major part of the 2009 festival. They along with Kick’n Up Kountry will be making smiles happen for children again this year. The kids will again be able to meet the entertainers from this year’s festival.

muscles or joints.

Where: Evaluations will be held at Franklyn Middle School, 300 Spruce Avenue South, Thief River Falls MN.
Summary The goal of the screening clinic is to locate children who would benefit
from the quality orthopaedic medical care provided at no charge at Shriners
Hospitals for Children. Children are admitted regardless of race, sex, religion,
national origin or relationship to a Shriner. All services at the Shriners Hospital
are provided totally free of charge. The hospital does not accept payment from
patients’ families, federal or state funds or third party payors such as insurance
companies.
The Shriners Hospitals for the Children-Twin Cities is a 40-bed pediatric
orthopaedic hospital providing quality, comprehensive care to children.
Orthopaedic disabilities treated are: cerebral palsy, scoliosis, club feet, hip
deformities, limb length discrepancies, missing limbs, juvenile arthritis,’spina
bifida and rickets.
