Jason Jones Send Heartfelt
Letters about Area Children to KUK President!
Ardell Larson, KUK President recently received the following letters from Country Entertainers Neal McCoy and Jason Jones. Both singers will be performing at the Kick’n Up Kountry, Inc. Music Festival Labor Day Weekend, August 29th – August 31st, 2008.
From Neal McCoy: “I have really enjoyed playing the Kick'n Up Country Festivals over the last couple of years and am looking forward to this year's festival as well. I had a chance to meet with some of the kids that the festival benefits and that experience was very moving. I congratulate Ardell on all of her hard work and I know that everyone involved feels the same way about her as I do. I look forward to playing this festival every year in the hopes that all of Ardell's dreams for the children come true.” ~All my best, Neal McCoy~
From Jason Jones:: “Last year was my first time playing at Kick'n Up Country and I had a blast! Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Meeting the kids just put the icing on the cake for me! It's such a rewarding feeling being part of something that is for the benefit of others, and just knowing that I helped to take their minds away from their worries for a few minutes to have a good time is the greatest feeling of all. Thanks so much to Ardell and all her great staff for letting me be a part of their festival; I can't wait to come back!” ~Sincerely, Jason Jones~Both country greats are of course referring to the "Hopes, Dreams and Smiles Fund, which was established through the Northwest Minnesota Foundation. Its purpose is to “provide children from Minnesota and North Dakota who have a life threatening illness or other disabilities, the opportunity to enjoy a special event or other activity that will have a positive impact on their lives.” During the fun-filled, VIP,-all exclusive paid three day event, children and their families get the opportunity to enjoy country music, get autographs, and have photographs taken with their favorite county music artist.
